Fabricandi Divina — “divine making” — is a studio-based spiritual practice we’ve developed that echoes the rhythm of lectio divina. Instead of slowly reading a sacred text, participants move slowly through the stages of shaping clay: feeling its weight, forming a cross, adorning it with marks, pausing in silence, and finally surrendering it to the kiln. It is prayer through process, a pedagogy of touch and transformation that teaches patience, ecological awareness, and reverence for creation. If you’d like to learn more about the history, theory, and practice of Fabricandi Divina, I’ve written a fuller article on my substack
